Direct Mail or Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM)?

Even in this digital age, direct mail is still an important part of your marketing plan. This form of advertising communicates your information directly to your customer without using mass distribution. It is much more targeted to your individual prospect. Studies show that the return on investment for direct mail is significantly higher than other forms of direct marketing such as email or social media.

With Traditional Direct Mail, you have the choice of sending your message to a targeted audience using a mailing list. You could purchase this list, or maybe this list is already in your system as your customer list. You could even tailor your message to different lists, for example one postcard designed to be more appealing to females and a similar postcard for the males, or Millennials, Gen Zers, Gen Xers and Baby Boomers, you get the idea.

Another form of Direct Mail is Every Door Direct Mail, sometimes called EDDM. EDDM is a service offered by the United States Post Office that sends mail to whole neighborhoods without the need for a list. The postage savings is significantly better than the rate for Traditional Direct Mail. With EDDM you can search zip codes and carrier routes to target neighborhoods where your customers live. Then, use the filters to target customers by specific demographics such as age, household size or income.

C&D Printing and Packaging handles both types of Direct Mail in house. Contact us today to find a solution to your Direct Mail needs!
